I am joining Carla for no spend/low spend January.
I have a monthly budget of £300 for the 4/5 of us for groceries. £170 for fuel.£150 pocket money. We also have £200 income over expenditure which would go into savings.
I have a freezer and larder full of food but only because that's how I always keep them. I'll do my best to keep it tight through January and feed us all well without depleting all the stores.
Driving kept to a minimum to keep the fuel going as long as possible.
Wish me luck.

The increasing cost of shopping and fuel is well documented everywhere. I don't usually find increasing food prices to impact on us too ...

ReplyDeleteGood luck! Sounds like a good plan. Fuel prices are quite low here at them moment. Only $2.95 a gallon. That is very good for my budget.

Hi Daizy
Don't get me started on fuel ! We are currently paying £1.40 a litre. They stopped giving us gallon prices when the got so high but pretty sure that about £7.00 per litre. Something like $10. AAAHHHHHH!
Good luck Lizzie!
