Planning

Last evening my brother in law passed away. He was 46 and, as far as we knew, perfectly fit and healthy. He didn't feel too well, he collapsed in the shower and was gone before they reached the hospital. He leaves a wife, four children and three little grand children.

Days like this make me feel there isn't any point to planning. We have no control, we just kid ourselves that we do.

I am 46 and, as far as we know, fit and well. How does it play out from here?

  1. I am very sorry to hear of your family's loss. There just is no guarantee that our time here will last forever.

I know what you mean about planning. I feel like this many times. But, maybe we should look at it optimistically and that we should plan and make those things on our lists a reality before our time due.

  4. I'm sorry to hear about your brother in law, Lizzie, and having come very close to losing my own life I do know what you mean about planning. However, that said, I still think it's a good idea to have some life goals but to accept that other things pop up along the path that may lead you in a different direction. Nothing has to be set in stone.

  5. I am very sorry for your loss. I am glad that your sister in law and the children have you around for support. I can just imagine how they are feeling right now.

Keep living your best life because you don't know what is in the cards.
